Alaska state troopers and Fairbanks police officers mistook Keith Wasserman for a potentially dangerous fugitive, wrestled him to the floor, and handcuffed him. Wasserman and his wife sued the State, the City of Fairbanks, and the involved police officers for injuries allegedly sustained during the incident. After a bench trial, the trial court ruled in favor of the defendants and awarded them attorneys fees. Wasserman appeals the trial courts factual findings, its application of the legal rule to determine excessive force, its denial of a motion to disqualify, and its award of attorneys fees. We affirm on all four issues.
